Front Disc Brake

There has been a front Disc brake solution for some time using Toyota 4-pot calipers.  The problem for many has been the modifications required to implement the solution on a TR3-TR6.  I have them on my TR3, and am very happy with them. The rotors need to have the center hole bored out to 3.5", and in order to use the vented rotors, the calipers need to have their openings ground out to accept the wider rotors.  The brake pads are about 34% larger along with the 4-pot vs the original 2-pot calipers provide better braking with significantly less brake fade from heat buildup.  There is also a need for a custom hard brake line having an M10x1 connector at one end for the caliper, and a 3/8-24 connector at the other end for the brake hose.  RATCO provides the complete kit, with all modifications making the Toyota upgrade a simple bolt-on solution.  We can also provide the kit with Drilled and slotted rotors at slightly lower cost, although we favor the vented rotors.  We recommend removing the dust shield to improve airflow/cooling.

Below are some photos of the front Braking solution

The complete package including vented rotors, modified calipers, brakes pads, brake lines, and caliper bolts/lock washers, is $650.  A bargain compared to the Wilwood solution.
