Each has a coded FM transmitter built in which only activates the mating LED array. There is an on/off button and an emergency flasher button which allows the unit to act as and emergency flasher in extremely hazardous conditions. The system has a range of 25 feet so that the helmet can be used as an emergency roadside flasher off the bike. They all come with everything you will need including complete instructions.
